Geoff Gottbrecht is a trial lawyer who focuses on complex civil litigation, insurance coverage, and business restructuring and reorganization. Geoff has advised clients in each stage of litigation, and his practice involves representing clients in high-profile actions and chapter 11 proceedings, including complex bankruptcy cases and mass tort matters.
Geoff has broad motion, discovery, and trial experience. He has drafted and argued dispositive motions, authored pleadings, developed written discovery, coordinated expert testimony, and prepared witnesses for deposition and trial. This experience extends to a variety of matters, including government enforcement actions, arbitrations, consumer protection litigation, product liability claims, and corporate governance disputes.
Before Ruggeri Parks Weinberg, Geoff practiced commercial litigation at an international AmLaw20 firm. During this time, he represented consumer product manufacturers, retailers, energy companies, financial institutions, and health systems. Geoff also clerked for the Honorable Steven D. Merryday of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida.
