Where did you grow up, and what’s a local tradition or food you still love? I grew up in Beals, Maine—an island of about 600 people, tucked away off the coast. One local tradition I still love is the Fourth of July lobster boat races, famously the world’s fastest. It’s a great way to catch up with everyone from back home.

What is the most rewarding aspect of your practice? Getting to work with the high-caliber clients and attorneys we have. We’ve developed deep, longstanding relationships with our institutional clients, and internally, we’re a small, collaborative team. The result is a strong foundation—mutual trust, shared understanding, and a clear sense of how we work best together—which leads to the right strategy and the most effective outcomes.

Who’s been a key mentor in your career, and what’s a piece of advice that stuck with you? Jim Ruggeri. He taught me that the simplest answer is often the best one. In a field that can be esoteric, Jim showed me that clarity and simplicity are what truly persuade and resonate.
